How to Submit your Non-Fiction Book Manuscript
Submit your non-fiction outline and sample chapters.
First of all, make sure your manuscript is something Brookeline will be interested in. Check our list of non-fiction genres (in the right hand column of this page).

All books that we publish are by Canadian authors only.

Do as much proof-reading, fact-checking and editing of your manuscript as you can before submitting sample chapters with your query. The first-read of your sample chapters by Brookeline will be one of those "first impression moments" that you only get once.

QUERY METHOD:  If you're ready to embark on having your manuscript reviewed, prepare an outline about your manuscript as well as a few sample chapters.  Organize this material in one or more documents (in Word or PDF) with appropriate file names. The sample chapters should be in Arial 11 pt. or Times New Roman 12 pt. Don't worry about any layout or header formatting; at this point it's the words and overall book concept that we are interested in.

Submit your query by email (with outline, sample chapters, and bio as file attachments). Include your 'covering letter' in the body of your email message.  Send to Mary Brooke, Publisher, at words@brookeline.com

Submission by postal mail is not encouraged.  If you must submit by postal mail, send to Brookeline Publishing House Inc., PO Box 851, Sooke, BC, Canada V9Z 1H8.  Include your email address in your covering letter for a reply.

Do NOT send any original materials to Brookeline; send only copies as we do not postal-mail any return replies.  We will reply by email.
