Brookeline specializes in the editing of
non-fiction book manuscripts.

Professional Book Editing:
Affordable editing and proofreading is important for writers
and authors. Your book manuscript is editing "without
getting in the way" of your writing style or your story. The
goal is to help improve the quality, clarity and
cohesiveness of your work. Manuscripts are carefully
reviewed to identify and correct mistakes in grammar,
punctuation, format, spelling, style consistency, sentence
structure, transition between paragraphs, and more. The
quality of your writing becomes enhanced while preserving
your unique voice and style. Attention to format and layout
also becomes a part of the editing process that enhances the
reader's ease of reading and retention of information from
your book.
Non-Fiction:
The non-fiction genre is comprised of books that
are considered true (not fantasy or fiction) and are generally
about real things, people, events, and places. Often they are
descriptive or instructional in nature. Types of non-fiction
include retelling of actual events, biographies, how-to manuals,
and textbooks.

Brookeline's Manuscript
Critique Process:
1. Read key portions or all of your manuscript to determine
topic, flow and general readability,
2. Comment on a wide range of writing issues such as grammar,
punctuation, sentence and paragraph structure, transitions, and
more.
3. Give examples where certain other techniques might be used
for greater success.
4. Assess your writing style for clarity and depth vis-a-vis
your intended audience.
5. Discuss how your manuscript would work as a book (i.e. what
features are working and are there any other features that need
to be developed).
6. Estimate the time for full editing and format production.
